Qu@rtet+

The final concert of the 1st year of the Qu@rtet+ festival took place on 19. November 2021 in Marinů Hall, Prague. The concert featured string quartets by Josef Mysliveček and Leoš Janáček. Together with pianist Ivo Kahánek, the Doležal Quartet performed Piano Quintet No. 2 by Antonín Dvořák.

The 3rd concert of the 1st year of the Qu@rtet+ festival took place on 30. September 2021 in Libeň Castle, Prague. Two of the late string quartets by Antonín Dvořák were performed by the Doležal Quartet.

About Qu@rtet+ festival

On the occasion of the upcoming 50th anniversary of the ensemble, Doležal Quartet launches its new festival Qu@rtet+ focused on chamber music. The first year of the festival includes four concerts that are to be held at various locations in Prague. The intention of the Festival is to bring music to places where it is not so often performed. Guests of the Doležal Quartet are pianists Ivo Kahánek, Jan Bartoš and cellist Jean-Guihen Queyras. Besides the world repertoire, Josef Mysliveček’s quartets are to be performed, which were recorded in 2020 for the label Supraphon as a premiere recording.
